To all weary mothers

Yesterday, I had a very interesting conversation with my girlfriend, who already has a grown-up child. Or rather, she tried to tell me that the best is yet to come. I am sure that you, who you are reading, need such encouragement. You must to know ,that it will not always be so difficult.

A day will come when you will not worry when someone goes to the bathroom … except yourself. In fact, there will be weeks in which you will not even care when the others go to the toilet. A day will come when you can have a good meal without having to put the spoon in someone else’s mouth. You will can eat all in the plate undisturbed. And there will be no one to rely on your body to eat! And yes, there will be a day when you will sit on a normal chairs near a real kitchen table. And you will ask question the others about their day, they will tell you, you will laugh and you will really enjoy this part of the day. A day will come when you will not have to be in the bathroom while your children bathe. You can just say, “Take your towel and go in the bathroom.” And they will listen to you. And they will know how to use shampoo and balm. That day will come, dear mothers. A day will come when you will not have to prepare 80 things to get out of your home. In fact, kids will grab some of their favorite items, and you’ll just be able to say, “Come in the car when you’re ready and lock on the exit.” And they will come and you will not have to lock the belt to anyone but to themselves. And while you drive, you will not have to entertain anyone so as not to cry.

This and more is yet to come. It’s getting easier. Becoming a parent becomes more fun. But it only happens because you worked hard at the beginning. Your child will know how to bathe because you have learned it. Your child will know how to play because you have learned it. Your child will know how to eat because you have taught him. Keep up, dear mothers. I know these years are tough but they are really nice.  Believe ,that you can! We can do it!
